OpenCoffee Sussex - 15-strong-turnout

By Ian Ozsvald • Jan 17th, 2008 • Category: Business, Community, Events

OpenCoffee Sussex ran this morning at the Innovation Centre from 9-11am. We had 15 attendees including Luke from WiredSussex, Peter from SInC, several students and the founders of a number of local tech companies.

I presented ShowMeDo for the 5-minute talk and asked for feedback on what sort of tutorial videos people might like to see. I was interested in the suggestion of SPSS videos for students and Adobe InDesign - apparently these are very under-served for video tutorials on the web.

At the next session (2 weeks time) Madhava will talk about Dharmafly’s ethical social-media business.

Ian Ozsvald is Co-founder of ShowMeDo.com, £5 App monthly meets, OpenCoffeeSussex fortnightly-meets, general pusher of the idea: Brighton-is-great-and-everyone-in-tech-should-work-here.

  1. Thanks for the mention Ian. And for all your business development support recently. You’re a star.

I enjoyed it today, Open Coffee has a nice relaxed atmosphere with quality networking to boot. I’m looking forward to the next one on the 31st of January, especially the opportunity of 5 minutes of fame :)
