Scoop & Crumb for Geek Ice Cream

By Ian Ozsvald • Jan 19th, 2008 • Category: Business, Community

Scoop and Crumb is a new cafe in East Street run by John (a friend of mine and Shardcore’s). Their differentiator is home made real ice-cream - new batches are made every few days by John himself.

I popped in this morning and John was good enough to give me some tasters…darn fine they were too (the raspberry and pear one sticks out as an interesting flavour).

They’ve got two floors, the place is spacious and feels airy and light, laptops are welcome (wifi comes from next door) and John would be very happy to talk about his ice-cream. They’ve also got coffee, hot-chocolate and sandwiches made from local ingredients. VisitBrighton has a long and glowing review.

Location - 5-6 East Street, just opposite where the ABC cinema used to be, details, multi-map.
