The ‘Geek Wine Thing’

By Rosie Sherry • Feb 1st, 2008 • Category: Community, Events

There are a few geeky events going on, many of which assume an interest in technology.  The Geek Wine Thing is slightly different from the norm. Whilst it is targeted at the geeks, the only thing geeky about it are the geeks that turn up.  There are plenty of non geeky things that happen during the event too - such as an educational talk about wine by Henry from The Butlers Wine Cellar and the wine itself! The event is community driven, organised by Danny Hope and comes at a small cost of £10 to cover the cost of the wine.

If you use Twitter you can follow the Geek Wine Thing.

  2. Hi Danny (yes, I should contact you directly) - we were wondering and hoping you might be able to devote a Geek Wine Night to Champagne, Cremante and, if we must, Cava & Prosecco.

My new year’s resolution (given I don’t drink much nowadays due to being a parental unit) was to have a bottle of champagne a month - or so.. any advice on how to avoid Sainsbury’s nasties is very much welcome.
